American Folklore Folksy retellings of a variety of tales: Native American myths and legends, weather folklore, ghost stories, and tall tales of Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill, and others. It tells how a little green lizard by not giving up was able to save the world from disappearing in the shadows. This online unit contains seven lesson plans about folktales, for students in grades 1-2 or 3-5. Students will learn or review clue words that signal sequence and examine why this folktale uses sequence of events to teach a lesson in the end. The lesson taught in a work such as a fable.
